Reality TV star, Phyna Otabor, has raised serious concerns against the Dangote Group, accusing the company of abandoning its promise to sponsor her sister, Ruth Otabor, abroad for urgent medical treatment.
Gossip News Now reports that Ruth was recently involved in a tragic accident in Auchi, Edo State, where a cement truck ran over her leg. The incident left her with life-threatening injuries, including the amputation of one leg and severe internal damage. The truck was eventually stopped by a bystander after the impact.
According to Phyna, representatives of the company initially assured the family that Ruth would be taken to India for advanced medical care. They also suggested transferring her to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos as a preparatory step before flying her abroad.
However, Phyna revealed during an Instagram Live session that communication with the company had broken down. She alleged that the official handling the case had stopped responding to her messages and was now insisting that any decision would depend on medical advice — despite doctors reportedly confirming that Ruth’s condition cannot be properly managed in Nigeria.
Phyna further listed the extent of her sister’s injuries: fluid in the lungs, a crushed bladder, severe damage to her reproductive organs, multiple fractures, colostomy, tracheostomy, the need for multiple blood transfusions, as well as chest and pelvic injuries.
She added that Ruth has remained unconscious for days, is on life support, and relies on a ventilator.
“After his last message, he stopped replying. My sister has not woken up for days. She’s on a vent machine and the medical team told me she’ll be in the hospital for a very long time. That’s how badly she was crushed,” Phyna lamented.
As of now, the Dangote Group has not issued any response to these fresh allegations.
