Fulham head coach Marco Silva has urged winger Samuel Chukwueze to maintain his hard work and consistency if he wants to turn his loan spell into a permanent stay at Craven Cottage.

Chukwueze, on loan from AC Milan, has yet to make a Premier League start for the Whites. The loan deal includes an option to buy the Nigerian international for around €23 million. Despite limited playing time, he has contributed two assists in five league appearances.

“Too early, but of course we all recognise the quality that Chukwueze has,” Silva said ahead of Fulham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
“We go in the direction to see consistency in the way he’s going to perform, to train every single day, and after, the physical aspect of the Premier League.”

Meanwhile, Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has reflected on his loan spell at Bundesliga side Augsburg as a key period in his growth.

The 27-year-old featured in 31 league games during the 2024-25 season before returning to Brentford, where he has made nine appearances across all competitions this season, contributing two assists.

“People often say that in the Bundesliga, players run a lot compared to the Premier League. When I got there, I felt it. They always want to go forward with every ball,” Onyeka said, highlighting how the experience shaped his development.
