Desola Afod, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has spoken out following a series of online attacks targeting her relationship with Fuji musician Malaika.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the mother of four addressed those making negative comments about her. She stated that she has decided to embrace peace and leave all judgment to God.
Her post read:
“To everyone speaking ill of me @desolaafod, I choose peace, and I leave the rest to God to judge you and your business. READ THAT AGAIN.”
The backlash began after some social media users accused her of disrespecting her husband by openly associating with the Fuji singer.
A fan had earlier advised her to keep the friendship private, a suggestion she firmly rejected.
Desola responded by saying people often complain when individuals connect with others they believe are above their social level. She added that she would not be addressing rumours this year and would instead match the energy directed at her.
She later posted another video with Malaika, explaining that growing up in a polygamous household equips a person for challenges in the real world.
According to her, she understands the dynamics of social media and is prepared to confront online critics directly this year.
This is not the first time Desola and Kunle Afod have faced online rumours.
In 2024, Kunle Afod denied claims that he fathered a child with a woman in Mushin, insisting the woman in question did not exist.
Around the same time, another rumour surfaced alleging an affair with a woman in Ibadan.
Desola defended her husband during that period and made it clear that she would not leave her marriage because of rumours or mistakes.
While celebrating his 50th birthday, she acknowledged the difficulties of being married to a public figure but reaffirmed her commitment to staying with the father of her children, stressing that divorce was not an option for her.
