Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has addressed and dismissed an online report alleging that he had vowed never to marry his longtime partner and mother of his children, Davita Lamai.
Reports indicate that the claim originated from a post shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user identified as @Boutmoney, who suggested that the singer had taken such a stance despite having two children with her.
The user wrote:
“Zlatan’s wife (Davita Lamai) in tears as Zlatan Ibile said he will never marry her despite having two kids for him. What could be the reason?”
Reacting to the post, Zlatan described the claim as completely false and misleading, expressing frustration over the growing trend of spreading unverified stories on social media.
The rapper urged users to verify information before engaging with or amplifying such narratives, warning that false reports can cause unnecessary harm.
He also cautioned that the individual responsible for the claim would eventually face consequences for circulating misleading content.
In his words, he wrote:
“Y’all know I hate to shalaye. But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before you engage an agenda post in 2026, you don’t deserve to have internet on your phone.
This is fake! Banger boy, your time is coming soon.”
Zlatan’s response comes shortly after he clarified his relationship status during an interaction with fans online.
While replying to a follower who referred to Davita Lamai as his wife, the singer explained that although she is the mother of his children, they are not yet married, dispelling assumptions about their marital status.
