Nigerian singer Harrysong has addressed claims from his ex-wife, Alexer Peres, regarding access to their children.
Gossip News Now reports that Alexer recently revealed she would be temporarily stepping aside from custody of their two young children.
She shared the decision in an emotional video on her Instagram story, describing it as a difficult choice that came after years of pressure following the end of their marriage.
Alexer explained that she had been caring for the children since their separation, with the kids living at her home, attending school from there, and only seeing their father occasionally.
In response, Harrysong posted on his Instagram story, explaining that his silence was intended to protect both his children and their mother, noting that online comments are permanent.
He reflected on past mistakes, saying that he had previously spoken from emotion on social media and learned the consequences the hard way.
The singer emphasized that he has been an involved father, continuing to provide for his children even while they were under their mother’s care.
“I’ve chosen restraint to protect the mother of my children and, most importantly, our kids, because what’s said online lasts forever,” Harrysong wrote.
“I never said she couldn’t see them. Any custody arrangement has reasons that shouldn’t be shared publicly. I’ve remained active and present as a father and continued to provide for our children, even while they were with her.
“The current online narrative is hurtful and could potentially damage the image and career that support our children. Is it worth engaging in public arguments? I won’t risk it. My priority remains their well-being.”
