1. EFCC Declares Ex-Bayelsa Governor Timipre Sylva Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Bayelsa State Governor and ex-Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, wanted.

In a statement released on Monday, the EFCC said Sylva is wanted in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy and dishonest conversion involving $14,859,257.

Gossip News Now reports that the funds were part of an investment made by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) into Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for refinery construction.

The 61-year-old politician, who hails from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, is currently being sought by the anti-graft agency.

According to the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, anyone with useful information about Sylva’s whereabouts should contact the nearest EFCC office across the country or any police station nationwide.

2. Lagos Moves to File Contempt Charge Against National Assembly Over Supreme Court Ruling

The Lagos State Government has approached the Supreme Court seeking permission to initiate contempt proceedings against the National Assembly for allegedly disregarding a subsisting judgment of the apex court.

According to Gossip News Now, the state accused the federal legislature of attempting to advance the Central Gaming Bill despite a Supreme Court judgment declaring such legislation unconstitutional.

In a motion filed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Bode Olanipekun, on behalf of the Lagos State Attorney-General, the state is seeking the court’s leave to begin judgment enforcement through the issuance of Form 48—a legal notice that precedes contempt or committal proceedings.

Under Nigerian law, Form 48 serves as an official warning to any individual or institution in contempt of court. Failure to comply after its issuance can result in imprisonment.

An affidavit supporting the motion stated that the National Assembly’s continued deliberation on the Central Gaming Bill violates the Supreme Court’s ruling in case number SC.1/2008 – Attorney-General of Lagos State & Ors. v. Attorney-General of the Federation & Ors., delivered on November 22, 2024.

3. “Arrest Sowore Anywhere You Find Him” – Lagos Police Commissioner Orders Officers

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has declared that former presidential candidate and activist, Omoyele Sowore, remains a wanted individual.

Speaking during a strategic security meeting at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Monday, Jimoh directed officers to arrest Sowore on sight and bring him to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for questioning.

Gossip News Now reports that the police commissioner accused Sowore of attempting to incite violent demonstrations in Lagos during a recent protest.

Jimoh revealed that despite several invitations extended to the activist, he has failed to honour them. He further disclosed that although Sowore’s lawyer had earlier written to inform the command of plans to present his client, neither the lawyer nor Sowore has appeared.

The commissioner stated that Sowore’s declaration as wanted was made in line with Section 215 (1, 4, and 5) of the Nigerian Constitution, which empowers the Commissioner of Police to maintain public order, protect lives, and ensure property security.

5. Atalanta Sack Coach Ivan Juric After Clash With Lookman and Defeat to Sassuolo

Atalanta have parted ways with head coach Ivan Juric following a 3-0 home loss to Sassuolo on Sunday — a result that capped off a poor run of form and heightened tensions within the squad.

Gossip News Now reports that Juric, who took over during the summer after Gian Piero Gasperini’s departure, leaves the Serie A club languishing in 13th place with only two wins from 11 league matches.

The club announced his dismissal in an official statement on Monday, November 10, 2025, citing disappointing results and internal unrest.

Reports suggest that Juric’s fate had already been under review, with club executives warning him that his future hinged on performances in two crucial fixtures — against Marseille in the UEFA Champions League and Sassuolo in Serie A.

Although Atalanta managed to defeat Marseille, that victory was marred by a heated touchline altercation between Juric and Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, which reportedly strained their relationship and contributed to the manager’s exit.

The club is expected to announce a caretaker coach in the coming days as they look to stabilise their season.

6. Super Eagles Address Hotel Criticism as 14 Players Arrive in Morocco for Gabon Clash

The Super Eagles have responded to widespread social media criticism regarding their hotel accommodation in Morocco, clarifying that the facility was selected for its strategic convenience ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifier against Gabon.

According to Gossip News Now, the backlash began after midfielder Alex Iwobi shared a video showing the view from his hotel room, prompting comments online about the hotel’s standard.

In response, Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe explained on Sunday, November 10, that the team is lodged at the Rive Hotel in Rabat — a location chosen for its close proximity to both the training facility and the match venue.

“What trended earlier was the view of an old building visible from one of the windows,” Efoghe clarified. “Rive was picked purely for logistical reasons to ensure smooth training sessions and easy access to the stadium.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian squad continues to assemble in camp, with 14 players already present, including Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Benjamin Frederick, Chidozie Awaziem, Amas Obasogie, Stanley Nwabali, Semi Ajayi, and Ademola Lookman.

Seven additional players are expected to arrive before the end of the day as preparations intensify for the upcoming fixture.

According to Gossip News Now, the timeless love ballad remains one of 2Face’s most celebrated tracks, resonating deeply with fans across generations.

However, speaking in a recent episode of the Entertainment & Lifestyle show, the 50-year-old singer revealed that despite the blessings the song brought him, it also became a burden.

Nonetheless, 2Face expressed gratitude for the opportunities and recognition the song has afforded him, describing it as both “a blessing and a challenge.”

8. Nnamdi Kanu Files Fresh Motion at Supreme Court Seeking Review of His Trial Judgment

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a new application before the Supreme Court, requesting a review of its earlier judgment in his case against the Federal Government of Nigeria.

According to Gossip News Now , Kanu’s fresh motion seeks a review of the Supreme Court’s decision in suit number SC/CR/1361/2022, which ordered his retrial.

In the motion, Kanu asked the court to grant him an extension of time to seek leave for the review of the December 18, 2023 judgment.

The IPOB leader explained that he only gained full access to his complete case file on October 26, 2025 — his first time since his detention. He noted that this development came after he decided to represent himself in court, necessitating more time to study the case materials and prepare adequately for the legal process.

9. NAF Airstrikes Eliminate Dozens of ISWAP Terrorists and Bandits Across Northern Nigeria

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the elimination of several Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists and bandits during coordinated airstrikes across multiple states.

Ejodame explained that the operations, carried out on November 9, 2025, were based on credible intelligence regarding the movement and activities of terrorist elements.

He added that the strikes formed part of ongoing joint operations under Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Fansan Yamma, aimed at dismantling terrorist and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern regions.

According to Gossip News Now , NAF aircraft, guided by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) feeds, executed precision strikes southeast of Shuwaram before advancing to Mallam Fatori, where ISWAP fighters were observed mobilising with motorcycles and boats along the Lake Chad Basin.
