Comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has urged couples to refrain from airing marital problems on social media.

Gossip News Now reports that the father of three cautioned that publicizing such disputes could negatively affect children in the long term.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Basketmouth emphasized that while disagreements are natural in any marriage, making them public can create lasting emotional challenges for the children involved.

Drawing from his own experience with a broken marriage, the entertainer noted that he deliberately chose not to share personal details online to safeguard his family’s privacy.

He expressed concern about the growing trend of couples posting intimate family matters on the internet, highlighting that children may eventually come across these posts and that the information could be used to tease, mock, or emotionally harm them later in life.

The comedian also commented on the ongoing conflict between actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, urging the senator to handle the situation privately and with maturity rather than allowing it to play out publicly.

He appealed to both parties, as well as other couples, to address family disputes discreetly, stressing that “the internet never forgets” and every public post about a troubled home leaves a lasting impact on children.

Basketmouth stated: “Families have had problems since the beginning of time. I also had issues in my marriage, but I never brought them online.

“People forget that their children will grow up and see these things. Their friends could use these details against them, causing emotional harm.

“Senator, you are an elder. If nobody will tell you, I will. Every day this matter gets worse. Handle it with the maturity expected of your office.”
