Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly criticized the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, over comments he made questioning her well-being.
Gossip News Now reports that on Thursday, Rollas shared on Instagram that several colleagues were aware of Regina Daniels’ health status but had allegedly chosen to speak ill of her privately. He recounted that senior actors, including Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, and Jide Kosoko, had observed her behavior on a movie set and supposedly believed she needed help.
Rollas also claimed that businessman Ned Nwoko had raised concerns about Regina’s health at a previous event and criticized Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, for pursuing her own ambition to become AGN President while allegedly neglecting her daughter’s welfare.
In response, Regina Daniels fired back in an Instagram post, accusing Rollas of bitterness stemming from her decision to stop him from bringing women to her home for swimming lessons.
She wrote:
“AGN President, respectfully, there must be something wrong with you, sir! To say I need help? You have no business speaking nonsense about my family or my mother, who has always supported and praised you. As an established actor, having observed your career from my youth, I can say you are a disgrace of a president—visiting offices to enrich yourself under the guise of caring for actors.
“In eight years, what have you enforced to protect actors? The only notable achievement is the office you opened recently, after seven years, funded in part by my family. Your bitterness stems from being stopped from bringing women into my family home for swimming lessons—a pattern you repeat to high-profile men for personal gain.
“I admired you as a fatherly figure because of my mother’s respect and devotion, yet you speak nonsense about a child who benefited under your administration. My mother introduced you to my ex-husband and helped elevate your profile, yet you try to discredit her contributions.
“My mother has more than earned her place in the industry and would be a perfect figurehead for the AGN. The guild deserves leadership that understands the screen, the industry, and the society it serves—not personal vendettas and self-enrichment. I don’t entertain rubbish.”
Regina Daniels’ response highlights ongoing tension within the AGN leadership and underscores her defense of her family and personal reputation.
