Senator Ned Nwoko has accused relatives of his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, of being involved in a commotion at a hotel in Abuja, which led to police intervention and arrests.

Speaking at a recent gathering of the Kay Hikers Club, a social group for young people, the Delta North lawmaker recounted that Daniels had contacted him during a dispute between hotel staff and another guest.

According to Nwoko, Daniels and her acquaintances, including her brother, stayed at the hotel for four days, during which they allegedly engaged in “drinking and smoking” and caused disturbances.

“They took this place for four days, and it was four days of partying for them—drinking, smoking, and all that goes with it. As a lawyer, I have evidence, written police statements documenting the incidents, including conflicts with hotel staff and other guests,” he said.

The situation escalated, Nwoko claimed, when Daniels reported being slapped by another hotel occupant. He said she then used her vehicles to block the hotel’s two main entrances, preventing entry and exit.

“She blocked the gates for over two hours. The police were eventually called, and some of her brothers and sisters were arrested,” Nwoko added.

The senator emphasised that he refused to personally intervene, stating that law enforcement should handle the matter.

Nwoko and Daniels’ marital conflict became public in October, after a viral video showed the actress alleging domestic violence.
