Nissi, the sister of Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, has dismissed claims that their mother, Bose Ogulu, was removed as the artist’s manager.

Gossip News Now reports that the speculation went viral after ChaftsAfrica shared an alleged Instagram story suggesting Burna Boy had ended his mother’s managerial role. On 𝕏, user @Joyfultips also wrote, “Just heard Burna Boy fired his mom, this whole thing is getting crazier.”

Responding to the rumors, Nissi labeled the reports as false, writing simply: “FAKE NEWS.”

The speculation coincides with recent drama surrounding Burna Boy’s US tour. His No Sign of Weakness tour was cancelled on Wednesday evening, reportedly due to low ticket sales.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy made headlines during his Denver concert in the United States. Midway through his set, the Grammy-winning artist asked a couple in the front row to leave for allegedly sleeping during the performance. After some initial resistance, the crowd urged the pair to exit, and Burna Boy resumed his show.
