Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about why she deliberately avoids attending some events, revealing that not all invitations are genuine.

In an Instagram post, Okorie explained that some people invite her not out of goodwill, but with intentions to harm, destroy, or spiritually attack unsuspecting guests. She stressed the importance of prayer and discernment, noting that only God can reveal people’s true intentions.

Okorie said her absence from certain events is intentional, adding that some people may not like her personally but still want her present because she “brings life to the party.” She emphasized that no amount of appearance fee could persuade her to attend events where her spirit warns her against going.

She wrote:
“Not all invitations are meant for you. Some are plots to kill or destroy you, so it’s important to pray for discernment so God can show you who you are really dealing with. Deep down, some of you don’t like me, but you want me at your events because I bring life to the party. I follow my spirit, and there are places I will never go, no matter the fee. Poison is everywhere. People plan against you. But the God I serve is alive, and He will expose all of them.”

Okorie also referenced recent high-profile incidents in the entertainment industry, hinting at the risks that public figures face and emphasizing the need to trust one’s instincts.
