Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, born Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, has described Wizkid as a “leading legend,” highlighting the impact he has had on her career.
Gossip News Now reports that Ayra Starr made the comments during an interview on Tuesday following her performance at the Grammy Museum. She shared that working with Wizkid taught her valuable lessons about confidence and purpose.
According to Ayra Starr, Wizkid showed her that true confidence is not about being loud or showy. She said, “Wizkid is a leading legend. We all know that. My first time working with him, I just couldn’t believe it and I was myself. But the second time, he was very calm, cool, and relaxed. I know confidence isn’t noise. He made me understand that. He’s very present and confident in his life mission, and that taught me a lot.”
In related news, Wizkid recently revealed his wish for singer Asake to perform at his wedding. Speaking on Apple Music radio with DJ Tunez, he described Asake as one of Africa’s most talented singers and praised his contributions to African music.
Wizkid also shared that Asake’s track Remember has made a strong impression on him and expressed hope that one of Asake’s songs would be performed at his special day.
