Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has shared the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing, leaving her deeply grief-stricken.
In an Instagram post, Lizzy Gold revealed that her father passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, expressing that she never imagined stepping into the new year without him. She described her father as not only a parent but also a close friend who always listened and supported her.
The actress wrote:
“What I fear most has happened to me… death has given me a huge blow… my father is gone… he left us yesterday… this wasn’t the plan daddy… you were supposed to cross over with your children into the new year… my heart is shattered… my gist partner is gone… so I won’t see you again?”
The cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. Following her announcement, many actors, friends, and fans reached out to offer condolences and prayers to the family.
Lizzy Gold Onuwaje is well-known in the Nollywood film scene, particularly within the Asaba film circle. Burial arrangements had not been made public at the time of this report.
