The grieving family of late Afrobeats sensation Destiny Boy has appealed to the public for assistance following the unexplained disappearance of the musician’s Sport Utility Vehicle shortly after his death.
In an emotional video circulating online, the singer’s father, Afeez Adeshina, expressed deep concern about the whereabouts of the car, stating that the vehicle vanished under circumstances the family still struggles to understand. According to him, the SUV was reportedly returned to a car dealership days after the artiste passed away, yet efforts to recover it have proved unsuccessful.
Adeshina explained that he personally witnessed the purchase of the vehicle from a Lagos-based automobile company, Lycon Autos. The dealership, he said, arranged for a driver to deliver the newly acquired car to their residence, after which the same individual continued working as Destiny Boy’s personal driver.
The situation reportedly became complicated when the driver later claimed that the late musician owed him outstanding payments. The father alleged that, without informing any member of the family, the driver returned the SUV to the dealer, creating confusion over ownership and access to the vehicle.
He further revealed that the family has been unable to establish direct communication with the driver involved, adding that retrieving the car would have been straightforward if proper contact information were available. His public appeal was therefore directed at Nigerians who might assist in tracing either the driver or the vehicle.
